Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow have all been renewed for new seasons in the 2017-18 year by the CW, according to Deadline. The renewals of non-comic book-shows Supernatural, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Jane the Virgin were also announced at the annual Television Critics Association winter presentations.
“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas,” said Mark Pedowitz, the CW president. “Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”
The CW's other two comic book shows, Riverdale and iZombie, were not mentioned in the announcement of renewals - but considering their seasons don't begin untl later this year, a renewal would be incumbent on their performance.
