20th Century Fox's Logan will follow in the footsteps of this year's Deadpool in being an R-Rated film - but to make it work, leading man Hugh Jackman had to agree to a pay cut from 20th Century Fox. That's what director James Mangold relayed during a Logan presentation during Ain't It Cool's annual Butt-Numb-A-Thon in Austin, Texas, according to the site.
"Mangold said that Hugh Jackman took a salary cut because he wanted to do an R-rated movie," relayed Ain't It Cool's Eric Vespe.
Jackman has previously said that he has had as series of one-picture deals with 20th Century Fox going back to 2000's X-Men, which him, his agent, and the studio negotiating a new contract before every movie.
Logan is scheduled to be released March 3, 2017.
