After months of speculation, it seems Margot Robbie's planned Harley Quinn spin-off movie is going forward under the title Gotham City Sirens, according to The Hollywood Reporter. What's more, Suicide Squad director David Ayer is said to be attached to helm the project, and co-produce it with Robbie.
Gotham City Sirens, which borrows its title from a DC comic book which starred Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy, will reportedly maintain that cast of characters on film, though no actresses for Catwoman or Poison Ivy have been cast.
Additionally, Warner Bros. is reportedly working on a Deadshot spin-off film in which Will Smith will reprise his Suicide Squad role.
The previously-announced sequel to Suicide Squad is also still in development.
Neither the two planned Suicide Squad spin-offs or the proposed sequel have projected release dates.
