The Walking Dead season 7 premiered Sunday night, and answered a question that's been plaguing fans since the final moments of season 6: just who was on the receiving end of Lucille, Negan's brutal trademark baseball bat? Now we know - and longtime fans are in for a shock.
Spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead season 7, episode 1.
As it turns out, Negan claimed not just one, but two victims. First, former soldier Abraham Ford got a taste of Negan's wrath, getting in some choice verbal licks between blows from Lucille, but it wasn't enough to save him.
Secondly - and somewhat more horifically - original cast member and fan favorite Glenn Rhee took multiple graphic shots, with his eyeball bursting from his skull before Negan finished him off.
Of course, both Abraham and Glenn died some time ago in comic book terms. Abraham was shot in issue #98, while Glenn followed shortly after in #100.
The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights on AMC.
