A cameo by Stan Lee has become a standard part of Marvel Studios films (and Fox and Sony ones too), and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed that prolific writer has already filmed cameos for four different homegrown projects.
“We do not shoot random ones. They’re always very specific,” Feige said during a Q&A held after a Los Angeles screening of Captain America: Civil War this past weekend (via CinemaBlend). “A couple of months ago in Atlanta, he flew down and we shot four in one day — for four various projects. They’re all awesome! They’re all totally different. And he was unbelievable. He was on fire. He came in, he sat here, he stood there, he stood in this window, and then he went home.”
It hasn't been confirmed what projects these are four, but Marvel Studios' next four films are Doctor Strange (November 4), Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 (May 5, 2017), Spider-Man: Homecoming (July 7, 2017), and Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017). Of course Lee has also cameo'd in Marvel Studios' television projects including a role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Stan Lee's most recent cameo in a comic book-based filnm was in X-Men: Apocalypse, appearing with his wife, Joan Lee.
