Long-time art and pop culture book publisher Insight Editions have formed a new imprint devoted to comic books that is scheduled to debut its first book in March 2017. Insight Comics plans to publish graphic novels with original stories as well as those tying into licensed properties, utilizing "best selling and critically acclaimed foreign writers and artists." No titles or creators were named for these projects.
“Insight Editions is thrilled to launch this new imprint,” said Raoul Goff, Insight Editions' CEO/Publisher. “Insight Comics aims to bring our high-quality standards to the graphic novel universe, tell original stories, and invite readers to immerse themselves in powerful new worlds.”
Mark Irwin has been named as Senior Editor of Insight Comics, coming to the new imprint with a wealth of experience as both a working artist as well as staffer. Irwin has worked for Heavy Metal, Upper Deck, WildStorm, Volta, and Creative Militia.
