Two people have new positions at Marvel Comics and Valiant Entertainment, as the two publishers have announced a promotion and hired on a new staffer.
Valiant Entertainment has promoted Hunter Gorinson to become Vice President of Marketing & Communications. Gorinson was part of the management team which relaunched the company in 2011, coming to the rejuvenated publisher after working at Marvel and Showtime.
“Valiant's reputation for innovative marketing with tremendous reach within the world of comics and to the general public is in no small part due to Hunter's leadership,” said Valiant CFO & Chief Operating Officer Gavin Cuneo. “His increased responsibility and seniority at Valiant is well deserved.”
Meanwhile, Marvel Comics has hired Christine Dinh as Assistant Editor of Marvel's Digital Content team, working out of its Los Angeles office. Dinh comes to the company after working previously for DC Comics, Warner Bros., BOOM! Studios, and Top Cow.
