Power Rangers Actress Sarah Grey has been cast to play Stargirl in the upcoming season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, according to IGN. The character will appear as part of the Justice Society of America for the CW show's sophmore season, alongside Hourman (Patrick J. Adams), Vixen (Amaya Jiwe), Commander Steel (Matthew McCaull), and the as-yet-uncast Dr. Mid-Nite and Obsidian.
Stargirl was created by Geoff Johns in tribute to his late sister Courtney Johns, and debuted in 1999's Stars & S.T.R.I.P.E.S. #0. Courtney Whitmore is the stepdaughter of the original Star-Spangled Kid's sidekick Stripesy who takes up a superhero life after finding Star-Spangled Kid's gear. She later joins the Justice Society of America and inherits Jack Knight's cosmic staff.
Grey is no stranger to comic book adaptations, having guest-starred in both Fox's Lucifer and the CW's iZombie. Grey is also part of the ensemble cast of 2017's Power Rangers film.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow is scheduled to begin its second season October 13 on the CW.
