Amidst all the announcement at Marvel Studios' Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016 news was the confirmation of the roles three of the numerous actors reportedly cast in next year's Spider-Man: Homecoming. Laura Harrier is Liz Allan, Tony Revolori is Flash Thompson, and Jacob Batalon is Ned Leeds. The news was revealed by the trio in a backstage interview.
"I'm playing Liz Allan, and you know me and Peter have some exciting things going on," said Harrier. "It's exciting. it's very cute."
Batalon chimed in that in his role as Ned Leeds, he is Peter Parker's "best buddy."
"And I am playing Flash Thompson," Revolori added. "I am the bully. I am the meanie... and come to fear me."
Zendaya's role, however, remains unconfirmed, although the actress described the part as bookish but quippy.
"I can say that she's very smart, very intellectual, always in her books," said the actress. "Kinda wierd... which we like. Which I like, personally. Always throwing one-liners at her friends. Always to herself, always. "

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to open in theaters July 7, 2017.
