Fox's Gotham has hired Ted 2's Maggie Geha and Once Upon A Time's Jamie Chung as an adult Poison Ivy and reporter Valerie Vale, respectively, according to Deadline and TVLine. Both of these roles were previously reported as being cast, albiet at the time the Valerie Vale role was thought to be the comic book character Vicki Vale.
Geha will reportedly debut as a aged-up Ivy "Pamela" Pepper in Gotham's upcoming fall season. If these reports prove accurate, The Ted 2 actress takes over the role from Clare Foley - however no in-story reason has been given for the change.
Meanwhile, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For and Big Hero 6 alum Jamie Chung will reportedly return to the world of comic book adaptations playing reporter Valerie Vale, a new character that TV Line says is the aunt of the comic book character Vicki Vale. When reports originally surfaced for this role naming Vicki Vale as the character, some fans bemoaned the apparent age discrepancy between the Vale character - described then as an adult reporter - and David Mazouz's Bruce Wayne, who in Gotham is a young teenager.
TVLine describes Chung's Valerie Vale as "a crackerjack reporter dead set on uncovering the truth behind Indian Hill," referring to the experiments of Hugo Strange seen in the tail end of Gotham's most recent season.
Gotham's third season is scheduled to debut September 19 on Fox.
