Actress Laura Haddock, best known for portraying Star-Lord's dying mother in Guardians of the Galaxy, has been cast in Transformers: The Last Knight.
Haddock made the announcement via Twitter, where she said she was excited to work alongside “one of my all-time heroes. Massive in the 80s, living legend, some people describe him as having balls of steel. I can't believe I get to be part of his entourage: Optimus Prime.”
She jokingly added "Oh, and there's this other guy that's a pretty big deal, Mark Wahlberg,” referring to the Transformers lead who was a hit musician in the ‘80s, and co-created the HBO series Entourage.
No details about Haddock's role were revealed. Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters June 23, 2017.
