Microsoft has announced a new VR-powered console codenamed "Project Scorpio" at E3 2016, according to Engadget. Described by the tech giant as "the most powerful console ever," it will be compatable with all Xbox One and Xbox One S games and acessories, but will be optimized for "true" 4K resolution and "high-qualiy" VR. The console will run at 60Hz with 6 teraflops of GPO power, but it's not known what the VR headset will be. Microsoft announced a partnership with Oculus Rift at 2015's E3, but they weren't mentioned in this week's announcement.
It's unclear if "Project Scorpio" is the name of the actual console or merely a placeholder.
