Walt Disney has called for director Gareth Edwards to reshoot parts of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, according to Deadline. The move is apparently being made after unnamed Disney executives and producers were shown a rough cut of the film. According to the online Hollywood trade, Edwards' initial cut "lacked the edge that Force Awakens had and the story needed to jell."
Although re-shoots might set off alarm bells for some fans, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was also subject to three weeks of reshoots after filming originally wrapped.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to be released in theaters December 16.
