Swedish MMA fighter Madeleine “Madde” Vall has said on Instagram that she plays the role of the Amazonian warrior Egeria in Warner Bros.’s upcoming Wonder Woman movie. Although her involvement hasn’t been confirmed by the studio, the MMA fighter-turned-actor revealed a photo of her from the last filming location of the 2017 movie.

“Madde Vall has just come home after [filming] Wonder Woman in which she plays a small role as an Amazon warrior 'Egeria,'" reads the Instagram post, translated from Swedish. "DC Comics superhero Wonder Woman, produced by Warner Bros. to a budget of 150 million dollars, goes up on the big screen in June 2017. In the lead roles are Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Robin Wright (Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Hippolyta), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor) and Norwegian Lisa Loven Kongsli, known from the Tourist (2014)."

In comic books, Egeria had a small but pivotal role in George Perez’s Wonder Woman run in which she, as the Amazon’s First Captain of the Guard, sealed a opening crack into Hades.

Wonder Woman is scheduled to open in theaters June 2, 2017.
