The Greg Berlanti comic book empire on the CW continues to expand at a prodigious pace. Just moments after it was announced that Berlanti-produced CBS series Supergirl would be moving to the CW for its second season joining his other three DCU series, another comic book-based show produced by Berlanti - Archie's Riverdale - has been confirmed for the fall on the cable network.

"This is a historic moment for Archie Comics - and I couldn't be more proud," said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics' Publisher and CEO. "It's a culmination of my time here, and I'm eager to see Greg Berlanti, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, The CW, Warner Brothers Studios, and the cast bring Riverdale to viewers every week. My promise to fans? You ain't seen nothing yet."

According to Archie Comics, its CCo Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will write Riverdale himself with Berlanti, Sarah Schecter, Goldwater, and Aguirre-Sacasa serving as executive producers.
