Uncanny Avengers has arguably the most eclectic Avengers line-up ever with Deadpool and Brother Voodoo, but they're getting a new addition in the form of the merged Hank Pym/ Ultron - whom we'd like to call 'HankTron.' This all happens in May 11's Uncanny Avengers #9.
"Coming out of Standoff!, we have a team that’s starting to gel in a way where maybe these guys are actually becoming friends," said series writer Gerry Duggan. "I think everyone has grown a little bit. No one expects Deadpool to really apologize for being an Avenger anymore. The friendship between Rogue and Wade is growing, and at the moment, it seems like we’re ripe to have Hank Pym return."
HankTron was revealed earluer in Duggan and artist Ryan Stegman's Uncanny Avengers run as out in space as last seen in Avengers: Rage of Ultron, which incoming artist Pepe Larraz coincidentally illustrated with Jerome Opena.
"I think the thing that we’re going to see now is that Hank won that struggle at a significant cost to himself. He’s back and he’s…you know," Duggan explained. "We saw a little bit of what he was up to in space, still being a hero even though he was out in space, and we’ll find out more about the personal cost to that when he returns to Earth for the first time."
