The executive producers of CBS's Supergirl have recruited TV's one-time Wonder Woman Lynda Carter for a special appearance in its promised second season, according to Entertainment Weekly.
"We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter," said Greg Berlanti after a screening of the upcoming "Worlds Finest" episode of Supergirl. "We couldn't work out her schedule. Next year."
"We're going to do it, we'll just do it next year," added Andrew Kreisberg.
"All right," Berlanti continued," she's the female president of the United States."
They didn't disclose the actual name of the character she would be playing, but Carter has a history of taking part in superhero projects after her star-making role in the 1970s Wonder Woman series. She appeared on the CW's Smallville as Moira Sullivan, and played a superhero school principal in the Disney superhero movie Sky High.
Supergirl currently airs on Mondays on CBS.
