Daredevil's second season hasn't hit Netflix yet, but titular star Charlie Cox is already looking ahead to a third season - and which heroes and villains he'd like to see show up.
"If we're fortunate enough to keep making Daredevil series, I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up," Cox said. "It would be great to have him around him at some point. Who would play that part, I have no idea, but I think that's such an interesting rich character there. And of course, the history Bullseye has with Karen Page is an interesting dynamic."
"I'd also like it, if we continue to make Daredevil series, I'd rather than have a new character every season, I'd love us to explore the Wilson Fisk stuff. It would be great if Vincent D'Onofrio would come back for a season. There's so much Daredevil/Wilson Fisk left untold. As Wilson Fisk really turned into Kingpin at the end of season one, I'd love to see what that does to the Daredevil/Wilson Fisk dynamic going forward if we were to do a season 3 or 4."
As for who he'd like to join the roster of Netflix's Marvel shows, Cox didn't have to look far for a worthy subject.
"I know this is something that's been speculated about, and I have no idea if it's possible or not possible, but having worked with Jon [Bernthal] I would love to see Punisher get his own show," Cox said, clarifying that he has no inside knowledge of what shows will or won't be made at Netflix. "I would love to see that happen. I just think it's such a rich character, and Jon embodies him in such a spectacular way. I think fans are gonna be overwhelmed and pleased with what he brought to the character. So I'd love to see the Punisher get his own 13 episodes."
"And if he does," added Cox, "I'd love to be in it. I'd love Daredevil to make an appearance."
Daredevil's second season premieres March 18 on Netflix.
