In a second volley of release date shake-ups, Sony is pushing the untitled Spider-Man film up three weeks to be released on July 7, 2017, according to The Wrap and The Hollywood Reporter. This comes just after Walt Disney vacated that July 7, 2017 date, moving Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales up to replace the delayed Star Wars: Episode VIII. A planned Jumanji reboot will take Spider-Man's previous July 28, 2017 slot.
Disney, who produces the Pirates of the Carribean series, are the parent company of Marvel Studios, who will co-produce the Spider-Man reboot with Sony.
Currently, no other movie is scheduled for July 7, 2017, although Uncharted and Despicable Me 3 are scheduled to come out a week prior.
