Spoilers ahead for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The key mystery in Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker -- but in the end when he was found by Rey, there still were questions of why -- and where he was all this time. And now, thanks to the release of the movie's script and a junior novelization, there's beginning to be some answers.
The planet where Rey (Daisy Ridley) found Luke (Mark Hamill) is named Ahch-To. Confirmed by Lucasfilm's Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo, this planet has even more meaning gleaned from the junior novelization: it's the home of the first Jedi Temple.
"Ahch-To" is a new planet in the Star Wars mythos. There's no translation to what it could mean, but in Hebrew "Ahch" means "brother." But in what may be more on the nose, "Ahch-To" coincidentally sounds like "Act Two" when spoken aloud.
The as-yet-untitled Star Wars Episode VIII is scheduled for release May 26, 2017.
