Following up on this morning's cover reveal, Entertainment Weekly has released several new photos and concept art pieces from Marvel's Doctor Strange, including images of what appear to be the Sanctum Sanctorum, and possibly the Astral Plane.
In addition to the art and photos, the EW article has revealed that Strange casts magic through "gestures," a conceit that carries over from comic books and ties in to Strange's injured hands. Star Benedict Cumberbatch also described the "craziness" in the film, saying "Falling, flying, jumping, fighting, punching, getting punched. It’s really rough and tumble."
Director Scott Derrickson reiterated Cumberbatch's assessment, saying "I keep waiting for the knock on the door when somebody says, 'This movie’s too weird, we can’t make this.'"
Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4, 2016.
