Most of the details about Marvel's upcoming Spider-Man reboot film are still up in the air, but its lead actor, Tom Holland, has shared his thoughts on where he believes Marvel will take the film.
“There’s lots of things I didn’t know about him. I mean, there’s so many different versions of his story, and my favorite of which at the moment is the Ultimate Spider-Man,” Holland told Collider. “And the one thing I’m really excited about is that he’s not a superhero that’s on his own, you know? He has connections with some of the most powerful people in this Marvel Universe so I’m quite excited to explore that and see if Marvel will go down that route, you know? Which I’m sure they will. I mean, if they’ve got all these incredible characters at hand, I mean, why not use them, you know?”
Holland's assertion that the film could mirror the story of Ultimate Spider-Man falls in line with most of what we know about the film, which will feature a high school aged Peter Parker who is already an established superhero.
Holland will debut as Spider-Man in next year's Captain America: Civil War, but he's already had his first team up with another Marvel hero, acting alongside Chris Hemsworth in In The Heart Of The Sea. Hemsworth recently posted a photo of the pair on his Instagram. Check it out:
