With the upstart publisher Aftershock Comics making its debut this week with Replica, the Los Angeles-based publisher has announced two new hirings. Comic book writer Stephan Nilson has been hired as the company's Publishing Operations Manager, while GodHatesGeeks blogger Lisa Y. Wu is coming in as the company's Social Media Corodinator.
Nilson has written comic books around the industry including DC's The Batman Strikes and Justice League Unlimited. He has worked with Aftershock Comics publisher Joe Pruett before as Creative Director for Desperado, as well as contributing to the anthology Negative Burn.
Wu is a writer, actor and model, who has worked in social media for years in the Virginia area.
“As the team continues to grow with some of the most sought-after creators and artists in the business, we’re also onboarding the best in marketing and operations,” said Editor-in-Chief Mike Marts. “Both Stephan and Lisa are prime examples of the types of industry leaders we’re looking to expand with, and we’re extremely pleased they’re part of the AfterShock family.”
