NBC is developing the comic book series Hawaiian Dick as a one-hour comedy/action series, according to Deadline. Based on the Image series by B. Clay Moore and Steve Griffin, this television adaptation is being produced by Johnny Knoxville, along with David Janollari, Eric Gitter and Michael Rotenberg. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra screenwriters Paul Lovett and David Elliott are writing the script.
If you're getting deja vu about Johnny Knoxville being atached to a live-action Hawaiian Dick, you're not wrong; several years ago, New Line Cinema optioned the series as a live-action movie for the Jackass actor to star in.
