Evan Peters' role as Quicksilver was one of the standout moments in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and the actor now says he has an even juicier role in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. In an interview with Details promoting the new season of American Horror Story, the actor drops concise details on Quicksilver's quest in the next X-Men film.
"... the story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him," said Peters. "It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world."
If you remember, in X-Men: Days of Future Past the identity of Quicksilver's father is unknown -- but director Bryan Singer coyly alluded to Magneto being his father with some short camera work. In comic books, Quicksilver and his sister Scarlet Witch thought for decades that Magneto was their father.
