As of this weekend, Ant-Man has officially crossed the $500 million mark in global box office receipts.
According to Box Office Mojo, Ant-Man has grossed $500,628,768 worldwide, with the final push coming from its success in China, where it has earned nearly $100 million in just under two weeks.
This makes Ant-Man the 22nd highest grossing comic book film of all time, and places it ahead of Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Incredible Hulk among Marvel's global box office totals.
Though Ant-Man is the first Marvel film since Avengers not to break $600 million worldwide, its realtively modest budget of $130 million likely makes its $500 million gross a financial success.
A sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp has been officially greenlit with director Peyton Reed reportedly returning, and is set to hit theaters July 6, 2018. Star Paul Rudd will also reprise his role in next May's Captain America: Civil War and will likely also appear during Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War two-parter.
