After Paramount Pictures secured a long-term plans for the Transformers movie franchise, Hasbro is now uniting the comic book, toy and video game partners in a multiyear storyline titled Prime Wars Trilogy. Announced at The Hollywood Reporter, Prime Wars Trilogy is projected to be a three to four year storyline to create an 'immersive' experience for Transformer fans.
"We decided to initiate the creation of a bigger deeper worlds," said David Erwin, who heads up Hasbro's Transformers story team. "The fan reaction was really good. And that’s when we decided we wanted to make this a trilogy and really make this immersive. And when we say immersive, that means to create that experience across all different platforms, to take it across everything that we do."
In 2016, the comic books, toys and video games will go into a "Titans Return" arc where the Headmasters, along with Sentinel Prime, will return.
