Green Lantern #39, final coverDC Comics has provided Newsarama with an exclusive look inside this week’s Green Lantern #39, the start of the “Agent Orange” storyline by Geoff Johns and Philip Tan.
As Newsarama has been previewing for the past couple of months, the arc will feature dozens of new Orange Lanterns, as well as his take on the Green Lantern Corps. Speaking of the arc, Tan told Newsarama:
page 1“Designing the Orange Lanterns has taken a lot of time, but it's been fun. I had a blast designing them. I think I only redesigned one or two of the Green Lanterns, but coming up with all the stuff for the Vega System, the world they're in and the characters – I had a blast. Geoff gave me some freedom when it came to character designs, and I could almost come up with things without restriction. And it was really fun to have the kind of freedom but still work to achieve the goals Geoff wanted for the characters. It's really exciting to have the first issue coming out now.”
The solicitation for this week’s issue #39 reads:
page 2"Agent Orange" Part 1 and featuring an "Origins and Omens" backup tale!
