Deadline reports that the Transformers writer's room came out of their two week summit with concrete plans for two movies: an Akiva Goldsman-written Transformers 5, a starring vehicle for Mark Wahlberg to be directed by Michael Bay, and for an animated Transformers prequel set on Cybertron by Ant-Man screenwriters Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.

Three additional Transformers projects were reportedly approved by Steven Spielberg, a producer, for possible development as well.

The writer's room consisted of Goldsmith, Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer, Barrer, Ferrari, The Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman, Iron Man scribes Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, Pacific Rim 2‘s Zak Penn, Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Lost’s Jeff Pinkner, Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight, and Black Hawk Down's Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

No release dates or further information for any of the projects were announced.
