Speaking to the Toronto Sun at the Toronto International Film Festival, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actor Jeremy Irons confided that his version of Bruce Wayne's iconic butler Alfred Pennyworth would be markedly different from previous versions seen on film.
“Zack Snyder, the director, wanted to create a completely different Alfred,” said Irons. “So I felt I didn’t have to carry any baggage from previous ones. It’s sort of a reincarnation if you’d like. I had a feeling I was creating my own Alfred, more of a man who can actually do anything if he has to.”
Irons also said he shot "five or so" scenes in the film over the course of a month in Detroit.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016.
