Despite the cancellation from NBC, Constantine's titular star Matt Ryan is still a wanted man over at DC's CW superhero shows. In an interview with IGN, Arrow co-showrunner Wendy Mericle and star Stephen Amell talked openly about negotiations being done to bring in Constantine for an upcoming season.
Yeah, we really want to do it, "Mericle told IGN. "It's something we've been talking to DC about and it's just a question of some political things, but also the actor's schedule. We're trying to work it out, but we don't know 100 percent if it's going to happen."
Amell added to that, saying "Fingers crossed."
"But we're really optimistic," Mericle said, "and we would love to have him.".
Since the cancellation of Constantine by NBC, Matt Ryan has gone on to film two upcoming movies -- Away and 500 Miles North -- but has no other announced projects upcoming.
