Marvel's Spider-Man has gone through many different designs, and now one of the most anxously-awaited ones is what he'll look like for his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada was asked about it during Comic-Con International: San Diego, revealing that the company's already done much of the work in completing it -- and the long-time Marvel employee says it will "blow people away."
"It looks awesome. I’ve seen a lot of design work that’s been done on the costume," Quesada told IGN. "I think there are elements of it that are really going to blow people away, where they are going to go ‘Ah, that’s Marvel doing Spider-Man.’… It’s Spider-Man. What’s not exciting about that?"
Quesada has contributed heavily to Spider-Man in comic books over the years, as editor, artist and sometimes as writer such as on the "One More Day" story-arc of Amazing Spider-Man. Now, as Marvel CCO and part of the studio's Creative Committee, Quesada is privy virtually all of the details of Marvel's movie plans.
"I know Kevin Feige and his team, they’ve some great ideas, some wonderful theories that we have all chimed in on," said Quesada. "What’s funny about Spider-Man is that you sit there and you’re at a creative meeting and everybody goes ‘Well what about this? Yeah, of course! That’s what we should be doing, that’s Spider-Man!’ We all seem to be of the same mind about Spider-Man, because there are certain aspects of the character that are just iconic and have been perfect since the moment they were created.”
