Confirming earlier reports, Marvel has announced that Unbeatable Squirrel Girl will be returning with a new series later this year as part of the "All-New All-Different Marvel" revamp. The new series, set to begin in October, will feature the same creative team as the original volume, writer Ryan North and artist Erica Henderson.

While the title character is going to be an Avenger now, the new Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comic will reportedly focus on the superhero character in college, deciding to move off-campus. Sana Amanat also revealed there would be a crossover with Howard the Duck.

"We wanted to give people who’ve heard all the great buzz about the series a nice clean jumping-on point," editor Wil Moss told ComicsAlliance. "Ryan and Erica are committed to making sure the new #1 is welcoming to new readers, fresh and exciting for existing readers, and just tons of awesome for all readers."

Henderson and North confirmed that supporting cast members Tippy-Toe, Nancy, Chipmunk Hunk and Koi Boi will all be back for the next installment of the acclaimed title.
