Deadline reports that AfterShock Comics, the company which launched in April, has announced its first round of creative hires.
Chief among their list of talent is Neil Gaiman, who will contribute to a short story anthology. Gaiman is joined by veteran creators Garth Ennis, Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner, Paul Jenkins, and Phil Hester, along with Justin Jordan, Marguerite Bennett, and Frank Barbiere. Although Conner and Hester are artists as well as writers, Aftershock has not announced the artists involvedon these projects.
“When we launched AfterShock, our mission was to attract the best comic book creators in the business, and we’re beyond excited to develop original projects with these industry leaders,” said AfterShock editor Mike Marts.
The announcement comes just days before Comic-Con International: San Diego, where AfterShock is expected by Deadline to have a presence. No titles have been announced yet.
