Some hardcore Superman fans weren't pleased with the dark tone of Man of Steel, both in story direction and visual aesthetics... Now someone has done something about it.
VideoLab has taken scenes from Man of Steel, as well as the recent Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, and reverted the film back to its more natural color scheme as seen in set photos. Along with the visuals, VideoLab provides commentary deconstructing why they think Zack Snyder's Superman films were filmed, and the influence they see from Green Lantern and the Dark Knight trilogy.
"We're big fans of both Superman and the film Man of Steel. That's why this was a fun project. But Superman isn't just a brand. He's a worldwide icon that has lasted 77 years," said the makers. "When you make a Superman movie, and not every kid walking out of the theater wishes they were Superman... you've done something wrong. We're simply asking questions."
