This week, Marvel announced via Heat Vision a new slate of Ultron-centric content to be released for several of its popular video games. Marvel Contest of Champions, Marvel Heroes, Marvel Puzzle Quest, Marvel Avengers Alliance and Marvel Pinball will all receive new Ultron themed content as part of a push to capitalize on the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1.
"Our mantra from the last few months has been 'Ultron invades Marvel Games.' The beauty of something like this is, you can see Avengers: Age of Ultron and then you can say, 'You know what? I want to be an Avenger, I want to fight against Ultron,' and you can do it," said Marvel Games Creative Director Bill Rosemann.
According to the report, the close relationship of Marvel's film division and gaming wing made the inclusion of Ultron related content in so many games an easy decision. Rosemann went on to explain that the movie division was able to share Age of Ultron related materials at a very early stage, allowing game developers to take full advantage of the content.
Ultron-centric content begins hitting Marvel games on April 23. Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out May 1.
