There have been some shake-ups in the offices of comic publishers in recent months, and it seems like it isn't relegated to DC and Marvel.
Image Comics' Director of Business Development Ron Richards announced Thursday that he was leaving the company. Richards joined Image comics in January 2013 in the newly created position, with stated duties of "focusing on the sales and marketing strategies for the publishing line." No specific reason is cited for the decision, although Richards cites working in the comics industry as "immensely rewarding but equally frustrating and exhausting."
This would be the second announced departure of a major Image Comics' staff leaving Berkeley, California-based publisher this month. Last week, Jennifer de Guzman announced that after three years with the company she was no longer working at Image. de Guzman, former Editor-In-Chief of SLG Publishing, joined Image Comics in 2012 as Director of PR & Marketing and later segued to becoming Director of Trade Book Sales.
Image Comics declined Newsarama's request for comment.
