There have been numerous websites and companies using today's designation as April Fool's Day to pull one over on fans, but Ryan Reynolds seems to be using the special day to share some new details -- and new action -- from Deadpool.
In an interview with JoBlo posted Wednesday afternoon, Mario Lopez is interviewing Ryan Reynolds about the film when... well, just watch:
This coincides with the actor tweeting the past 24 hours about the speculated rating for Deadpool, which some thinking 20th Century Fox might push for PG-13 for a larger potential audience while some Deadpool purists, Reynolds including, arguing the R-rating is more in line with the character. Here's how that unfolded on Twitter:
A PG-13 #deadpool will still have 4th wall breaking, a shit-ton of action and at least 3 chimichangas. Zero need to panic. I promise.— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) April 1, 2015
While it seems the debate is settled with that last tweet, that Deadpool is in fact going to be an R-rated film, given that much of this -- including that final tweet -- unfolded on April 1 with the hashtag #Aprilpools, we're going to hold back on calling it a sure thing.. at least until April 2.
Deadpool is scheduled for release February 12, 2016, and stars Reynolds along with Gina Carano, Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller.
