20th Century Fox's Deadpool started filming this month, but they haven't stopped casting yet -- and their newest hire is explosive.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that rookie actress Brianna Hildebrand has been hired to play the Marvel character Negasonic Teenage Warhead in director Tim Miller's Deadpool. Negasonic Teenage Warhead debuted in Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's New X-Men run, with a codename taken from a song by metal band Monster Magnet.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead was a short-lived character in Marvel Comics, dying shortly after her debut and later ressurected only to die again in the "Necrosha" storyline. In comics she had telepathic and precognitive abilities, but THR says that Hildebrand "physical and stunt training" for the part which suggests more of an action role.
Hildebrand made her film debut in the 2014 web series Annie Documented, and recently put out her first music album.
Deadpool is scheduled for release on February 12, 2016, with Ryan Reynolds playing the title role.
