Lucifer is proving to be a tricky show to nail down.
Deadline reports that Fox has re-cast one of its lead roles in its television adaptation of the DC/Vertigo series Lucifer, hiring Spartacus' Lesley-Ann Brandt to play Maze. It was previously reported that Lina Esco had secured the role, but according to Deadline the change was made after the first table read with Esco. Brandt had reportedly tested for the role but was chosen over Esco, but was reconsidered after Esco was released.
Brandt will join a cast led by Tom Ellis as the title character in Lucifer. No announcement has been made regarding the series debut, as Lucifer has yet to film its pilot.
