Is the big bad of Fox's Gotham going bye-bye? According to the actress who plays her, it's possible.
In an appearance Friday morning on Live! with Kelly and Michael, Jada Pinkett-Smith talked about her recent work including that of Fish Mooney in Gotham. In the most recent episodes, Mooney was savagedly hurt with her eye being removed in some gruesome detail -- but she's re-appeared alive, but changed.
On the morning talk show, Pinkett-Smith was asked if her character would make it to the second season, leading the actor to shake her head in the negative.
"I don't think so," Pinkett-Smith said. "I signed for a year, and the year's up -- but there are some great things coming ahead on Gotham, believe you me."
Before the short interview segment ended, she was asked again about her future in Gotham with her giving a more open-ended answer.
"[Fish Mooney] could show up anywhere," said the actress. "You never know!"
Here is the interview segment in full.
Gotham returns for its final three episodes of its first season beginning on April 13, 2015.
