Updated March 26, 2015 at 1:45pm CST: Entertainment Weekly has posted a version of this photograph of Jason Moma as Aquaman without the overlayed text, which we have for you now at right.
Original Story: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder tweeted the first image of Jason Momoa as the film's Aquaman late Thursday night, along with the phrase "Unite the Seven."
Momoa's Aquaman is decidedly different from the comic version, with long hair, and much more warlike scale armor - changes that seem to make perfect sense for Snyder's film world. Momoa's Aquaman also has numerous tribal tattoos, possibly a nod to the actor's Pacific Islander heritage.
The phrase "Unite the Seven" could have several meanings, the most obvious being the seven seas, Aquaman's traditional domain - or it could mean the "big seven" core members of the Justice League (we're going with the latter and expect this to be the first in a series of images to come.)
Batman V Superman also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It is scheduled for a March 25, 2016 release.
