Warner Bros. next animated Batman movie will see the Dark Knight get in touch with his animal side.

Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts pits the caped crusader against a new group of animal-based villains known as the Animilitia. Silverback, Cheetah, Killer Croc and Man-Bat have united in a crime spree across Gotham, but behind it all is another animal-based villain the Penguin. In addition to the Animilitia, "powerful businessman" Oswald Cobblepot's new invention of evil robotic Cyber Animals also overrun Gotham.

To help turn back the tide in this animals gone wild, Batman teams up with fellow Gothamites Nightwing and Red Robin as well as fellow Justice League members Flash and Green Arrow.

Set for release on May 12 in all major home video formats, Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts is described by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment VP Mary Ellen Thomas as a "family friendly" film created "specifically for younger fans."
