It seems excitement about the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron isn't limited to just fans, as there is now a second seemingly leaked reveal of information in less than 24 hours about the Marvel tentpole movie. After this morning's apparant reveal of several pieces of licensed merchandise art for movie tie-in products, several more images have been revealed that - if genuine - pull back the curtain on the movie origins of Ultron itself.
Last chance to avoid spoilers -- if these are true.
First-time Reddit user account 'LionRus2014' uploaded what appears to be biography profiles and accompanying illustrations of both Ultron and the Vision, presumably from a style guide for licensees.
The write-up on Ultron - if accurate - reveals that its origin was as a "simple computer program" found by Tony Stark amongst the scrapped Chitauri war weapons from the Battle of New York as seen in the first Avengers movie (and previously hinted at in the Item 47 short film). The description goes on to state that Stark experiments on the program which sets it on the road to self-consciousness. Once it reaches that feat, Ultron promptly rebels and declares a war against the entire human race. These profile mentions the multiple Ultrons/robotic drones as seen in the official artwork and trailer, and also reveals that the robot is able to "enter and corrupt" any computer network.
The maybe-profile of the Vision describe this caped AI as a joint creation by Stark and Bruce Banner, and defines its abilities as flight, shooting "intense" energy beams and alter its density. Sharp-eyed readers will also notice Paul Bettany's face is clearly an element of the Vision's design.
This Reddit user added to this swath of information by revealing two apparently illustrations of the Vision and Black Widow, with the latter showing a updated outfit for Scarlett Johansson's character which include energized batons.
