Yes, you’ll hear that trademark hiss on Star Wars Rebels, but you’ll also hear a familiar voice when Darth Vader comes onto the scene. James Earl Jones, the voice of the character in the original trilogy of live action movies is reprising his role in a special additional scene made just for the network re-broadcast of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion on ABC. The TV movie will air on Sunday October 26, 2014 at 7pm ET/PT.

”We wanted to do something special for the ABC broadcast,” EP Dave Filoni said in a press release. “We've added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones."

No word on whether or not Jones will continue to reprise the role in any future appearances by Vader. While he’s not considered a “main” character on the series, it’s a safe bet that in a world set just a few years prior to A New Hope, at the height of the Empire’s power, that its primary agent will show up from time to time.
