Marvel and Netflix announced Monday that veteran character actor Scott Glenn has joined Marvel's Daredevil, next year's 13-episode series, as Stick, Daredevil's martial arts mentor.

Glenn joins Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/DD), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson, and Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) in the cast.

"Stick is one of the most important figures in Matt Murdock's life and Scott Glenn embodies all the qualities of someone so integral to this hero's journey," said Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television in the announcement. "There are few actors who could bring such the authenticity, gravitas and charisma to such a key role in Matt's journey to become the super hero we call Daredevil."

Stick was of course created by Frank Miller during his seminal Daredevil run and was introduced on 1981's Daredevil #176.

AMANDA PAYS Reprises Her THE FLASH Role for The CW's New Series

The Flash cast increases by one, and this one’s a familiar face. Amanda Pays, who played Dr. Tina McGee in the 1990s series, The Flash will play Dr. Tina McGee in the new 2014 series, The Flash.

The actress reprises her character name, though the character will obviously evolve - for example, she’ll no longer be Barry’s love interest. Now she’ll be working for a rival to S.T.A.R. Labs, though what that might be is still a mystery, and was left out of the THR report. No indication of what episode Pays will appear in was given.

Pays joins John Wesley Shipp from the cast of the 90s series. The original Barry Allen is this time around playing Barry’s father, who has been jailed for the murder of his mother.
