The movie is named Batman V Superman, but we sure hope the destruction to Metropolis seen in this new video isn't caused by a street fight between the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight.
Local Detroit news channel WXYZ has video from the on-location set of Zack Snyder's 2016's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, showing a whole lot of carnage reminiscent of last year's Man of Steel, where much of Metropolis and most of Smallville were destroyed during Superman's fights with the rogue Kryptonians. In the video, we can see a smashed Metropolis police car and a Wayne Financial sign from what appears to be an entirely toppled building.
The movie is reportedly shooting in Detroit through the summer, before moving to Chicago in the fall. The Windy City of course served as one of the stand-ins for Christopher Nolan's Gotham City in his Dark Knight Trilogy, so perhaps Ben Affleck-Batman's hometown won't look too much different than Christian-Bale Batman's.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for a May 6, 2016 debut, still famously on a collision course with Marvel Studios' Captain America 3.
