With Captain America: The Winter Soldier (whose press junket was today), Amazing Spider-Man 2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past all opening within the next couple of months, and Avengers: Age of Ultron set to begin principal photography soon, expect what's been a barrage of press about Marvel movies to continue for the foreseeable future.

Case in point:

According to Collider, Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige has confirmed that Joss Whedon directed one of the two Captain America: The Winter Soldier credit scenes/teasers, with The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo having directed the other. Collider doesn't spoil either, but having seen the film can confirm the Whedon one does involve Avengers: Age of Ultron, a fact Newsarama won't spoil either but can corroborate.

And speaking of Age of Ultron...

Now in heavy promotion of her co-starring role in The Winter Soldier, Scarlett Johansson is going to have to answer a lot of questions about her recently announced pregnancy and the filming schedule for 2015's Avengers sequel, in which she reportedly has another large and of course physically demanding role. But the actress is getting out in front of shooting down any concerns it'll pose any problems.

Talking with the Huffington Post, Johansson says everything is "full steam ahead" in terms of Age of Ultron.

"We start shooting in three weeks and I'm stunt training and we're good to go," she said. " You know, I think it's something that is [laughing] hard to talk about, exactly. You know, trying to skirt around your question exactly [laughs] -- and, you know, doing a poor job of it. But, you know, like I said, everything is exactly on schedule.

"So, in other words, everything is going the way it's supposed to go?" the Huffington Post followed up.

"[Laughs] Everything is going just fine. The Black Widow always wins and will continue to," Johansson responded.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Producers Talk Spin-Offs

In a new interview with SFX Magazine, Sony Pictures producer Matt Tolmach gave some new details about how they’re approaching the spin-offs for The Amazing Spider-Man. Tolmach said the previously announced Spidey Brain Trust was part of the plan from the beginning.

”We should all be talking so that these movies feel as though they’re of a piece, so the fans feel like there’s symmetry. It’s a crazy luxury to have all these smart writers sitting around in a room brainstorming,” Tolmach said. “Our jobs remain the same in terms of having to produce and direct the movies but it’s like putting together an all-star team – why not have the best players there all the time? So that was kind of a breakthrough idea that we’re just now really tapping into.”

Tolmach does recognize that the planned spin-offs, featuring villains Venom and Sinister Six are “a challenge in every sense.” He notes that “questions of traditional hero/villain dynamics have to be looked at,” but says the challenge is “awesome.” Producer Avi Arad notes that “Marvel characters, the villains are victims of circumstance. None of them were born like that. Our villains are nice and complex,” and says that because of that, “you can make some wonderful things out of it.”
