Saturday afternoon at the Emerald City Comicon, DC announced she’ll star in her own June-debuting ongoing series Trinity of Sin: Pandora, written by Ray Fawkes (Constantine, Justice League Dark) and illustrated by Daniel Sampere. One third of the Trinity of Sin (the others being The Phantom Stranger and The Question), she merged the three ‘timelines’ (which she implies used to be one) in order to strengthen it to better combat an impending evil invading force. In later appearances The Phantom Stranger suggests by merging the timelines she’s instead cursed them rather than strengthening them.
DC has made it clear she and the mysterious box she’s been searching for will play a major role in this year’s Trinity War, the first major New 52 event, and it’s likely this new solo ongoing series will closely tie into that event.
Trinity of Sin: Pandora is the so-far fourth new ongoing series scheduled to debut from DC in June, along with Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and Scott Kolins’ Larfleeze, Greg Pak and Jae Lee’s Batman/Superman, and Scott Snyder and Jim Lee’s yet-to-be-titled Superman series.
