Update 2: Head towards the weekend with an image from another Marvel movie out later this year: This time (courtesy of Marvel's Tumblr) it's The Wolverine, as we find Hugh Jackman looking dapper in a suit (significantly more clothed than previous promo images), with his claws out and ready for action. The Wolverine is scheduled for release from Fox on July 26, 2013. Update: In more Marvel Studios still image news, Friday also brings a new image of Rebecca Hall at Maya Hansen in Iron Man 3, courtesy of Marvel's Twitter account. It's notable that, like the comic book character, she's also depicted with a significant facial scar. Iron Man 3 is out on May 3, 2013, and the rather sizable Super Bowl audience will get to watch a commercial for the film this Sunday. Original story: While many images have leaked from the set of Thor: The Dark World, Marvel Studios has remained mum. No longer, as they release this official set image featuring star Chris Hemsworth and director Alan Taylor. Not a lot of information can be gleaned from the image, but it's nice to see the company officially beginning the press push for the sequel. Marvel Studios' official description for the film follows: Marvel’s "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s "Thor" and "Marvel’s The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
